Car Removing Videos
An ongoing project initiated in 2009 during an MFA at the Glasgow School of Art. The video series looks to reveal the effects of the motorized vehicle on human behaviour and interaction with their environment. Body language includes everything from extremely bored and endless passive waiting to anxious and hurried crossings at intersections.
By removing the cars it is hoped to get a better perspective on how much our public environment is shaped and driven by the automobile.
While the initial series was done primarily in Europe, current projects are set in Canada and the US.
